AKA Winter Series round 2 update
Round 2 of the series saw another wet Sunday. Despite the consistent rain and freezing temperatures we have been suffering this winter, the track was ready. Conditions being same as last round every driver should have a good idea of what tyre and set-up to choose. With it being Valentines day, this and many races were down on numbers. Despite everything 4 full heats were booked in.
The track held up perfectly again for the whole day giving every driver a fair chance to qualify with best 2 rounds to count. As the day drew to a close, James Baxter took the Buggy win with his MP9 after a close race with Marc Jacka and his Mugen. Barry Ablitt (Losi), Dave Mascall (Kyosho), James Renwick (Mugen) and Kev Morgan (Associated) also had a good day and finished respectably in the A final. Kev bumped up all the way from C final. Well done lads!
Dave Brown took the Truggy win after the leader Richard Baker broke exiting the Pit Lane.
